The meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the parliament of the UK. It is located in the City of Westminster, London, UK and was originally built in 1016 and was reconstructed in 1834 after a fire. The architect who got the chance to redesign the palace was Charles Barry who chose a Gothic style to go with. It was inspired by the English Perpendicular Gothic style of the 14th - 16th centuries. One of the most well known parts of the palace is the bell tower "Big Ben". It is an iconic piece of architecture in London as well as a huge tourist attraction.
